I also enjoy:
Hiking, Body combat, Tennis, Fishing, Jet Skiing, Travel
Three things important to Me:
Jesus, my five kids, family/friends
Do you think it is important to set goals and dream big dreams?:
Yes, goals are the roadmap, or GPS, to get you to where you want to be. We will be a ship without a rudder without them. It’s important to not only write them down, but to speak them outloud over yourself… Our soul is listening to our words, so we need to make sure that the arrows are pointing in the right direction!!
I think big dreams are great, but little dreams are also special and can bring just as much fulfillment as big dreams. Little goals/dreams can also be a springboard to those bigger dreams, so celebrate each one that you attain with much love and gratitude! It’s like a little kid learning how to ride a bike for the very first time! It may seem like a little achievement in the grand scheme of things, but it is a pretty big deal for a kid (and parent!), and that joy is tangible!
Vision for the future:
Oh, I have so many dreams… I hope I can fit them all in in one lifetime!!
I have several books, and innovative business ideas and projects I want to birth.
Like Regina Brett says, “If you can’t be the rock, be the ripple”. I want to make a difference in this world by teaching and encouraging others to inhale the love of God. This is not an occupation, but a lifestyle I desire to acquire.
I want to help more people gain financial/time freedom through my networking business.
I will do mission work too, but you don’t have to travel very far to find desperate needs in children and adults.
I look forward to traveling with my kids and being a Grandma one day in the future.. I never get tired of holding little babies! I look forward to kissing those sweet cheeks and spoiling them good!!
When did you know you were called to this?
Many years ago!
What were your defining moments in life that helped me realize my calling/potential to change the world for the better?
A few key people spoke words of life into me that gave me a glimpse of a better way!
What is your Greatest inspiration?
1. The deep, crazy, unbridled love of God!
2. Being in Nature! One gorgeous sunset can erase a week of stress!
Who influenced you the most? Greatest lesson learned from them?
My Dad… He is extremely kind, funny, wise, gifted and courageous! He grew up in a family of 12, and lost his Dad when he was very young. He is an entrepreneur and has been very successful in business, and also come back and reinvented his Dreams after very harsh setbacks! He has taught me to endure in life, to keep breathing, one day at a time!…To seek and love God… To notice and care for the hurting, the children, and strangers.
What does being a beauty queen mean to you?
I don’t see myself as a beauty queen at all, but I do want to have a beautiful heart and life. I am astounded by all the beautiful hearts I get to meet in this world!…People who are more interested in serving others, than themselves, and have more invested in the eternal than the temporal.
We are made in the image of God, and He is pretty radiant! I believe beauty is Kindness. Beauty has to radiate from the heart. Not every rose has a fragrance, but Kindness smells sweet!
What inspires you to live w/ passion every day?
Creative people who are changing the world, in big and little ways! Jesus was very creative, too, when you think about it!
How do you use that passion to make your dreams come true?
It gives me energy and hope to see dreams coming to pass, or even just getting started… not only for myself, but for my kids and others!
What is a quote or saying you live by?
“Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
Also, Acts 10:38.
Through ups and downs what is the greatest lesson you have learned?
I always say, ‘Take the High Road, it has less traffic’!
Forgive quickly, and move on.
It’s not always easy, but it is always beneficial to forgive.
What advice would you give people about following their dreams?
Well, I have a book coming out in a couple months, called ‘From the Fire’. I talk about coming out from the fires, trials and curveballs of life (that hit all of us at some point or another), without the smell of smoke. We can use our trials and the wisdom we gained from them for the Greater Good and the Greater Love! Don’t waste the FIRE! You are stronger now, and Strength looks GOOD on YOU!
Also, keep running hard after your dreams! If it’s a part of your heartbeat, then it’s there for a reason! Keep moving, at your unique pace, and don’t be afraid of failing. When you do have a minor setback, get back up quicker than you did five years ago, and keep moving. Give feet to your dreams… gain traction.. and you will see them manifest!
