TRUST…. What does this word mean to you?
According to Google, trust is defined as a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something.
“relations have to be built on trust”
synonyms: confidence, belief, faith, certainty, assurance, conviction, credence; reliance
“good relationships are built on trust”
Where ever we put our trust, that will be the foundation of our life.
- If we put our trust in our finances, and then we lose our ability to make money or to receive an income then our identity is lost and the trust is broken.
- If we put our trust and hope in a deep friendship or romantic relationship, and then the person betrays you with gossip, lies or infidelity then the trust is broken again.
- If we put our trust and hope in the way that we look, our beauty will fade and our identity and self-worth will be lost and that trust will be broken yet again.
There are so many other things that we can put our trust in, and in the past I have put my TRUST in unreliable sources that have let me down, broken my heart and betrayed me.
Each time leaving the foundation of my life in ruins…..
Therefore, amazing people, I know from experience that the only reliable, faithful and true source that will never let you down and never forsake you is Christ!
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
As we put our hope and trust in Christ, it gives us the freedom to release unfair expectations that we put on others to meet our needs. Christs love, acceptance, redemption and wisdom gives us clarity of mind and pureness of heart to forgive, let go and walk boldly into the unknown.
The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.
Knowing that Christ is our source and we will NOT BE let down, gives us a SOLID foundation to build our lives and future on!!
Love you all and hope you were encouraged, and hope you have a wonderful Friday!
