I’m back, and I’m a MOMMY!

Hey everyone I’m back and I’m a MOM!! My husband and I have gone through drastic life changes over the past 2 month because we said yes to a call God put in our hearts, to ADOPT!

❤️ Also, we are not legally allowed to put up pictures of our sons face until he is officially adopted, so I’ve been very strategic to take side pictures and pictures of his sweet little head!!! ❤️

We have officially been fostering our son for a month and our world has radically changed for the better. In the state of Texas you have to foster a child for six months before you can officially adopt them, so we only have five more months, and we are so excited!!!! 👉 each week I’m going to share more about our miraculous adoption story, so please stay tuned and be encouraged that if you step out and follow the call (ache) (passion) that I believe God has placed on your heart then GREAT blessings and open doors will always follow!!!!

Also, I just want to let you all know that I’m so sorry that I haven’t been posting very often, my priorities are completely shifted and obviously he is our number one priority and I am learning how to balance work and home life during this new transition! Thank you so much for sticking with me and for having Grace on me during this transition because girls…….I definitely needed Grace!!!

It seems like I can’t even put into words the joy that my husband and I feel. We have been given a priceless gift to pour life, hope, joy, peace into and to empower him to know that he is chosen and loved, accepted, redeemed, and has never been forgotten!!

It’s been absolutely beautiful and humbling to be a part of the miracle of changing a child’s destiny forever!! We get to show him that he is more than enough and perfect just as he is!!!! We have the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Christ, AND WE get to give our sweet son a new perspective on life so that he can rise and be all that he was created to be!!!

This has been the best month of uncontained excitement, joy, love, peace, and humility! Even though we have been blessed, beyond belief, we have also come face to face with the reality that we NEED help, encouragement, prayer, and support!

✨Thank you to everyone who has stepped into the position of prayer warrior, encouraging friend and loving family, because as much as Todd and I need that, our son needs all of this even more!!✨

Your love has blessed us and we are so thankful for all of you. We know that God has equipped, prepared, and positioned us to give our sweet son the LOVE he needs to flourish and to be all he was created to be, LACKING NOTHING!

ONE LESSON LEARNED – I can’t control anything, and subconsciously I was trying to make everything perfect because I didn’t want our son to feel any more pain. My heart seemed to be in the right place however as I look back at this past month, my motivation actually stemmed from fear.

Todd and I decided a long time ago that we were not going to allow fear to control any aspect of our lives, therefore when I recognized that I was afraid of doing something wrong instead of standing on the word and believing that God has equipped us and prepared us for this task ahead, I asked for forgiveness and was truly set free and I was able to let go of control. Thank God it only took me a few weeks to recognize this and to be set FREE!!!!

I just want to encourage you moms, that you are well equipped, prepared, and positioned to love your babies exactly the way they need to be loved. God gave you this precious gift because he entrusted you to raise them and to equip them for great things!!!!

If you are new mom and going through a challenging or new season in your life, here are some scriptures that we depend on daily and I am so excited to share them with you because I know they’re going to bring you so much hope and encouragement!!!

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” —ISAIAH 41:10

Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. —PSALM 62:5–6

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. —PSALM 143:8

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. —PSALM 34:8

1 Corinthians 13:4-8Living Bible (TLB)
4 Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, 5 never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong. 6 It is never glad about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out. 7 If you love someone, you will be loyal to him no matter what the cost. You will always believe in him, always expect the best of him, and always stand your ground in defending him.

Love you all,

Michelle Hammons
