JOY, hope and …… Sanity!

👉 more details on my outfit will be coming tomorrow!!

The JOY of the Lord is your strength! Ok, I am all about quoting scripture and speaking life over everything Situation, HOWEVER there is a HUGE difference between saying something  and then LIVING it out.

Last week my son and my husband both got sick; my son had a runny nose and a cough and my husband had a fever, a migraine, and the aches and he ended up having to go to the ER at 4:00am on Friday……Also did I mention that I’ve been super nauseous for the past few days. Which only adds another element to our beautiful, chaotic moment we all shared on Thursday night/ Friday morning.

👉My husband ended up being super dehydrated, so he got an IV for fluids and then he got a prescription for his head, and my son is feeling so much better as well, but in the moment I had to choose to not lose my joy!!!

Trusting the Lord in the midst of a breakthrough is pretty easy because we SEE the rainbow after the storm, but when you’re feeling nauseous, your son is coughing and has a runny nose and your husband’s migraine is so bad that he starts talking about our WILL….. lol then you have to really examine your faith, and make a decision on where you’re going to draw your strength.

Even though I know that so many people are going through worse situations…… as a new mom, there were definitely moments where I could’ve been overwhelmed….. And definitely moments where I did allow my emotions to come in, but then I realized that my emotions only heighten negativity.

I knew that I could of either cried or found strength and joy in knowing that GOD is completely in control. That I don’t have to be anxious about anything but instead use my energy to give thanks for all the good and praise the Lord for his healing and faithfulness. As I started singing worship songs and meditating on the word, the atmosphere shifted and peace over took my heart!!!

In life, we are thrown unexpected situations, devastating moments and dramatic events, but how we choose to respond is up to us. We can allow these things to steal our joy, bring anxiety, and fear into our lives or we can use these moments as fuel, to pray for others who are facing even worse circumstances! We are not alone, and in the midst of these uncertain moments, let’s make the choice to stop thinking about ourselves, and instead think about others and pray for people in pain, doubt or who have suffered loss. As you do, you will be filled with uncontained and unexplained joy, peace, hope and comfort.

In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation. —PSALM 5:3

O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. —PSALM 63:1 NKJV

I can do everything through him who gives me strength. —PHILIPPIANS 4:13
Girls, the struggle is REAL and I just want you to know that you’re not alone!!!!

Love you all and hope you are encouraged!!
