Beauty Queen Of The Week – Sr. Ruby Ambassador with Plexus Worldwide, Jamie Brett

What do you like to do in your free time and what is your hobby? In my free time, honestly I am cleaning. haha! I am a neat freak and as a mom of 3 boys who live a fast paced life, I cant help it…I need organization and I like my house to look nice. You never know when company will drop in. I like to be prepared. I would like to say my “hobby” is working out. Again, not alot of time for just me, so when I do get it (and I am not cleaning) I like to make sure I focus on my health.

What are the three most important things to you? God first and foremost. My life and home can not function without God first. Family would for sure be second. I live for my boys! I got married young and had kids right off the bat. My husband is an amazing father too, everything we do in life is for our kids. Plus, we are both close to our families and have a blast living life with them! Third would be health. I never thought I would say that until I became a mom. I really realized how important being healthy was when I had kids. Me being the best version of myself helps me be a better mom, wife, and person!

Do you think that it is important to set goals and dream big dreams? I definitely think it SUPER important to set goals and dream big! I always thought I would get married, become a mom and that’s it! When that actually happened, there was still something missing inside of me. Not that it wasn’t enough, I just needed to still have a sense of “Jamie” as well. That’s when I decided to pursue working from home. In the 3 years I’ve been doing this, I’ve learned if your dreams aren’t scaring you, you aren’t dreaming big enough! You only get ONE life…make the most of it!

What is your vision for the future? My vision for my future would be freedom! I would love to retire my husband at a young age. I would love to travel with our boys. I would love to be able to give financially to those in need. I also have a big heart for adoption. God willing, I would LOVE to be able to do that one day!

When did you know you were called to make a change and work from home? I don’t think I ever really “knew” when I was called to work from home, or own my own business. It just sort of happened! We were dead broke, my husband worked WAY too much and we just never could get ahead in life. I KNEW there was something more, I just didn’t know what. Plexus fell into my lap because I needed some major help with my health. It honestly snowballed into what it is today. We have been incredibly blessed by this opportunity. If you would have told me 3 years ago I’d be working from home and actually being successful at it, I would have laughed! Sometimes the answers to our prayers are right in front of our face.

What were the defining moments in your life that helped you realize your calling? What steps did you take to make it to where you are today? I remember my husband just being so worn out from working. He never complained about it, but I knew he was tired. I didn’t know what on earth I could do to help either! I had always worked but we decided when we had kids, I would stay at home. That just wasn’t cutting it anymore. I had heard of people being able to make money in MLMs, I had NO clue what I wanted to do though. I knew if I “sold” something, I would have to be passionate about it. When I tried Plexus and saw how much it was changing my health, I decided “ok, maybe I could sell this”. I talked about it with a few friends and before I knew it, that month I paid all our bills with MY check. I was hooked from there! I had found something that would not only change people’s lives, but I knew at that moment it would change ours…and it has!

Who is your greatest inspiration? My greatest inspiration would be Mary, mother of Jesus. She’s the one person if I could meet, I would! The person she was, what she had to go through, it just touches me how she did it all! Maybe being a mom of all boys, it pulls my heart strings. I can’t imagine what she went through seeing her son like that. She just seemed like a kindest person you could imagine. I would give anything to spend 15 minutes with her asking her questions.

Who has influenced you the most? Honestly, my kids have influenced me the most! My oldest had cancer when he was a baby. To see the boy he has become today, you just have to know that there is a God after that! My middle son is the kindest, most patient person I know. He totally has a servants heart and teaches me new things every day. My youngest is the most wild and free spirited person that I’ve ever met. He’s 2 years old and can make me laugh harder then anyone else!

Being a mom to them has been my greatest accomplishment by far!

What does being a Beauty Queen mean to you? Being a “beauty queen” to me, means… learning to forgive when there’s been no apology. Laughing at yourself. Loving the skin you are in. Believing in something so hard you can’t help but go after it. And most of all, loving others more then yourself, even when you don’t feel like it sometimes.

What gives you passion to work your amazing Plexus business every day? My family definitely is my inspiration. Everything I do is for them! Also my team. I have an AMAZING team of people who love helping others. I literally communicate with them every day and they are the reason I am where I am today in my business. Seriously, they blow my mind. I love them all!

How did you use that passion to make your dreams come true? I knew I needed more then what we had. Not that it was BAD, I just wanted MORE for them. I love helping people and I love health, God did the rest! I get to stay at home with my babies all while helping others with their health and finances. It’s been a HUGE blessing!

What is a quote or saying that you live by? “If you are blessed, be a blessing”. A huge part of what I do is in hopes to be able to bless others like I have been blessed

Through the ups and downs of your life what is the greatest lesson that you have learned?  The greatest lesson I’ve learned so far in life is to judge no one and love everyone. God didn’t put me here to judge others, but He did put me here to show the world His love. Even though I fail at that at times, it’s something I strive to do every day.

What advice would you give the beauty queens reading this interview about following their dreams? I’m not sure if I’m good at giving advice haha… but I would say if you’re not following your dreams then your dreams aren’t big enough. When you find something you’re passionate about, you GO FOR IT! You can’t help it. And maybe you aren’t sure what that is yet, I’ve totally been there. You need to focus on your “why” and find a good group or person who will support you no matter what. And no matter what someone says, if you know what you’re called to do…DONT STOP! Dream big, and don’t hold back. Your only regret will be not going for it.
