RACHEL JOY NIGHT

Tell me about yourself, I can’t wait for the audience to know you the way I do, what do you like to do in your free time and what is one of your hobbies?

My Bio (About Me)

At the age of fourteen Rachel would begin the start of her journey in ministry. Marked by the tragic and sudden loss of her earthly father, her source of hope became her Heavenly Father. Upon committing her life Christ she began learning by serving others.

As a young Christian, she enveloped herself in ministerial opportunity and outreach. She served as a children’s pastor and youth leader at her local church in Dallas, TX. She began evangelizing at her school and in the streets. She led prayer groups. Perhaps her greatest desire was to reach out to the hurting to show them the hope that Christ had given her. She quickly realized her life was not her own.

Haha if not then, I would say I do enjoy working out!

What is your vision for your future?
I have many visions for my future.. but for the sake of time I will narrow it down for one personal and one for my business. For Uptown my vision is to be a voice of hope, a voice where I can be used by God. That everything Uptown does it will always be a reflection of him. A place for women to connect and form community together. For my personal life, my vision is to be old and gray and still married to my hunk, to see my kids married and with kids of their own.

Do you think it’s important to set goals and dream big dream?
Goals are good to have as long as they give you a direction to work toward.  They can become a negative thing when you start neglecting yourself and the people around you.

What is your vision for your future?
My hopes are more of internal treasures.  I think the greatest gift anyone can have is to have a life full of love, joy, and peace.  Doing something you love and being around people who cherish you.

He knows me better than anyone, and he knows that God has big plans for our family. He is my best friend, biggest fan, and love of my life.

He has taught me to never give up even when things are not going your way. and to love people even you want to walk away and go the other way.

sss1SARAH BELL

What is your vision for your future?

To grow and become the best wife, teacher, and (future) mother that I can be.

When did you know you were called to do this?

I have always wanted to be a teacher ever since I was a little girl. I even remember playing “teacher” when I was in kindergarten. My mom was a teacher and several other family members are as well.

What were the defining moments in your life that helps you realize you’re calling and potential to change the world for the better?

There were several defining moments in my life. First, is when I chose Jesus Christ as my savior and got baptized in 4th grade. I was raised in church, but I will never forget the moment that I decided for myself to give my life to Jesus. In 6th grade, I had an awesome youth pastor who really challenged me to be bold about my faith. I had some life changing experiences at youth camp during prayer times that changed my life. Another powerful moment, was in high school when I went on my first missions trip! My brother and I went to Reynosa, Mexico with our church. We saw poverty everywhere as we walked the streets of Reynosa, and God filled us with compassion for the the poor. We played games with the neighborhood kids, performed dramas, and the Spanish speakers shared about Jesus. I still remember when we came home, our mom noticed a huge difference in our countenance! The missions trip truly changed our life!

CARRIE ANN SANDERS

 Who is your greatest inspiration?

Gosh, so many, my parents of course. They own their own business so I have learned a great deal from them.

Another would be Bethenny Frankel, she inspires me so much. She is such a strong woman and she goes after what she wants.

Who has influenced you the most and what is the greatest lesson you learned from them?

My parents, I learned you have to work hard, nothing happens over night.

What does being a beauty queen mean to you?

Having confidence, believing in yourself, being kind to others, not worrying about what people think, and going after your dreams.

TTTOnyinyechukwu Martin

What does being a beauty queen mean to you?

Being a beauty queen means being a role model for other women around you.

What inspires you to live with passion every single day?

My family, especially my daughter, Elizabeth Grace Martin.

How do you use that passion to make your dreams come true?

I work diligently everyday to be a role model that she can look up to, admire, and be proud of one day.

Through the ups and downs of your life what is the greatest lesson that you have learned?

God is faithful, despite the adversity or challenging situations that come against me. He’ll never leave me or forsake me. And all that really matters in life is what the Lord thinks and says about me. I’m worthy of love because He paid the ultimate price. I’m worth something.

What advice would you give the beauty queens reading this interview about following their dreams?

Be relentless in the pursuit of your dreams and NEVER EVER ever give up.

 RRRRENEE MOORE

What are the three most important things in your life?

God, family, and friendships. Without those three things, what’s the point. God is all about relationships!

Do you believe that setting goals is important?

Yes without goals I find myself aimlessly muttering along without much purpose, if I have a goal I’m working towards then I feel like I have a defined purpose and it motivates me to keep going. Especially if it’s something that improves myself or makes an impact for God’s kingdom. God’s ability to guide me, use me, provide for me and blessed me are limitless so why should I limit him by dreaming small. In my vision for the future, I see God using Lizzy and I had to minister to others in some type a ministry. I know without a doubt that God wants to use us to encourage, inspire and show his love to others. I want to be a shining light that points others to Jesus.

What does being a beauty queen mean to you?

It is honoring to be given this opportunity to share my heart and passions with other! I love seeing women unite and connect as well as hearing their stories! I think this is so important for women to have others they can learn about and admire! I am so thankful to Michelle for her awesome spirit she gives so much  encouragement  to others and the way that she sows into to so many women’s lives is admirable! She is a true Beauty Queen!

What inspires you to live with passion every single day?

Having vision written on my heart is the biggest factor to live with passion in my life! To know that we are designed for a specific purpose each with a unique calling gives each day meaning.  I love waking up and asking God, “ Lord what ever you have written for me to do today, I come into agreement with is in Jesus name! Whatever divine assignments or however you choose to use me Lord I’m here and willing.”  It astonishes me how quick He is to respond to this prayer!

How do you use that passion to make your dreams come true?

I often share my passion and vision with others as the lord links people into my life to fulfill the call.

LINDSAY MUNSON

Tell me about yourself, I can’t wait for the audience to know you the way I do, what do you like to do in your free time and what is one of your hobbies?

I am 32 years old. Married to my high school sweetheart for almost 12 years. We have 5 beautiful children. Hayden, 9; Ella & Preslyn, 7 year old identical twins; and Liam & Rivan, 6 month old fraternal twins. Who am I ? I am a wife, mother, daughter, friend, worship leader, and business woman. I am creative, I love fashion and decorating. I love fitness and food. I decompress by training (similar to crossfit) at the gym and running.  I love cooking and trying new things. I love to be on the go, going and doing, but I also love to be home watching a movie or playing a game with my family. My husband and I own a business together, Boomtown Fireworks, and we are so proud of it and the things we are able to be part of with our business and our community. I have been running an online boutique for the past 4 years but closed up shop to prepare for the new twins. I love to work and be creative at the same time. My boutique was so much fun to have and grow. I hope to be able to do that again one day soon.

What are the three things that are most important to you?

My relationship with God and training up my children to have that same urgency is constantly on my mind and very important. Becoming a parent brings your relationship with God, your core values and beliefs straight to the forefront of your life, daily, it seems. I am constantly being challenged by them and for them to dig deeper into Christ and raise them to chase him with everything they have.

My family is extremely important to me. My husband and I are so blessed with strong families that live near to us. We are able to see them frequently and they are very much a part of our children’s day to day lives. They are all such encouragers to us and I hope to raise my children with that same desire to be close to family. It isn’t always easy but it’s so worth it.

My community is the last thing. I love where I live, but I am referring to my core network of friends. Just true old school relationships. People that really really know me. Call me, text me, pray for me.  I love the bond I have with my friends. New and old. They are my sisters, my sanity, my confidants. They encourage me, challenge me, inspire me. Sometimes I wonder how in the world I fit into their world and I strive to be the friend to them that they are to me.

Tell me about yourself, I can’t wait for the audience to know you the way I do, what do you like to do in your free time and what is one of your hobbies?

Hi Michelle, thank you so much for featuring me on your amazing blog!!! I’m so excited!! I am 28 years old and I am the wife of an amazing man, Mike Rosas, and mom of a crazy, fun 1 1/2 year old, Alessandra. I am a woman full of faith and aim for every area of my life to reflect God! I don’t have too much spare time these days, but when I do the first thing I do is head for a massage! It’s simply the best way to relax! I also love to cook and bake for my loved ones. And of course, I can never get enough of spending time with my amazing, big family!

I have a big passion for helping people, particularly women and children. I have been involved in the prolife movement and have been passionate about it since I was in high school! I currently serve as a Board of Director for Hannah’s Heart of Hope, an amazing center for pregnant women in crisis that is on the Southwest part of Houston. My husband and I also run Love Bought International, a foundation we created in 2007 to rescue orphan children and help people in poverty. With my husband being in ministry, we get so many opportunities to help people in need, which makes my heart happy!

What is your vision for your future?

The vision of my future involves a lot of what I’m currently doing, only on a bigger scale. A lot bigger! As I mentioned earlier, we run a foundation for children. In 5-10 years I hope for our orphanage to be running and housing about 300 children. I’d also like for Love Bought to extend its reach and have a hand in fighting sex trafficking and poverty. I hope to adopt, and I want to travel more with my family and capture beautiful moments together!

Three things important to Me:

Jesus, my five kids, family/friends

Do you think it is important to set goals and dream big dreams?

Yes, goals are the roadmap, or GPS, to get you to where you want to be.  We will be a ship without a rudder without them.  It’s important to not only write them down, but to speak them outloud over yourself… Our soul is listening to our words, so we need to make sure that the arrows are pointing in the right direction!!

I think big dreams are great, but little dreams are also special and can bring just as much fulfillment as big dreams.  Little goals/dreams can also be a springboard to those bigger dreams, so celebrate each one that you attain with much love and gratitude!  It’s like a little kid learning how to ride a bike for the very first time!  It may seem like a little achievement in the grand scheme of things, but it is a pretty big deal for a kid (and parent!),  and that joy is tangible!
